A wonderful flower. But who cares about the flower? I grow rows and rows of it for the perfect, flat, papery round seed heads. Peel off the casing to reveal pearlescent inners, silvery and lunar.
Biennial. When you peel the seed heads, put a few of the big flat seeds in an envelope for sowing in the summer.
