White cup & saucer vine

£2.50

Ten seeds of the white form, Cobaea Scandens alba. A glorious climber with bell-shaped flowers and the last annual to flower in my garden.

Sow: January - February

Cut: September - November

Sow the seed as early as you dare to give cobaea the longest possible growing season. Soaking the seed in warm water for two hours before sowing will help them get started, as will a little heat under the pot. Surface sow (light helps germination) on their edge (to prevent rotting) and they should be bursting into life in 14-21 days. Cobaea is a tender, tropical plant so plant out only after the last frost and in full sun / Use hazel teepees or a trellis to encourage climbing. Be patient; the flowers come late.
