Bonus interview: Carrie Thomas

I was lucky enough to visit Carrie Thomas, holder of the National Collection of aquilegia, a few years ago. As well as learning everything I could from her and buying a lot of plants, I recorded a short interview.

It was recorded outside and quite far apart (Carrie has some health issues and social distancing remained a thing) so the audio isn’t amazing, but I didn’t want it to go to waste.

Here we talk how she got bitten by the granny’s bonnet bug, how ADM broke her heart, and the tricky business of cross-pollination.
